Mr. Kenneth Ray Coe, age 79 of Ararat, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson with his loving daughter by his side. Mr. Coe was born on August 13, 1946, in Surry County, to the late Paul William and Fern Hutchens Coe. Kenneth was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Surviving is his daughter, Paula Coe Haynes; three grandchildren, Tiana Haynes, Paul Atkins, Kenneth Allen Coe; one great-grandson, Oliver Phoenix Coe; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillie Mae Coe Corns, Brenda Coe Tarkenton and Bob, Mary Jane Coe Shelton and Gray; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis Coe and Patricia; stepsister and stepbrother-in-law, Frankie and Stephen Coe; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Coe was preceded in death by a son, Allen William Coe; grandson, Thomas Ray Atkins, infant brother, James Thomas Coe; brother-in-law, Bill Corns; stepmother, Jean Coe Brown; and stepbrother, Eddie Mason. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens and Mr. Gray Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Pine Hill Church Cemetery Fund, 3968 NC Highway 268, Ararat, North Carolina 27007 or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O. Box 326, Dobson, North Carolina 27017. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
