Kenneth Wayne Dayhoff
July 16, 1961 – September 6, 2025
Kenneth Wayne Dayhoff, age 64, of
Titusville, Florida, passed away on September 6, 2025, of natural causes.
Born on July 16, 1961, in Miami, Florida, to Gail and Thomas Dayhoff, Kenneth grew up in Homestead, where he attended school before enlisting in the United States Coast Guard.
Kenneth will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, surfer spirit, and long blonde hair. After his service, he built a career as an automotive paint and body technician, working for more than 30 years and leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
He loved being on the water, especially the ocean, and enjoyed fishing, football, and cheering on his beloved Miami Dolphins. Above all, Kenneth cherished time with his daughter, Shilo, and his two cats, Ziggy and Little Bit.
Over the past 15 years, Kenneth faced and overcame many serious medical challenges with remarkable strength and courage. He survived a devastating spinal injury that nearly left him paralyzed, bravely fought and beat cancer, and lived fully despite ongoing health struggles. Ultimately, congestive heart failure claimed his life, but not before he showed those around him the meaning of resilience.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Shilo Dayhoff; his brother, Steven Dayhoff, and wife Rosa; his former wife, Colleen Dayhoff; stepchildren Melissa McCall, Dean McCall, and Gary Shane White; nieces Jessie Hebson and Samantha Gilley; nephews Kenneth Dayhoff, Steven Dayhoff, and Remy Hebson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gail Hawkins and Thomas Dayhoff; step-parents Robert Hawkins and Sandra Dayhoff; his brother, Thomas Dayhoff Jr.; and his sister, Michele Hebson.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by his daughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to https://gofund.me/86eab9b23 to support his daughter during this difficult time and to help with expenses from the unexpected loss of her father.
Fair winds and following seas.
