Kenneth Ray Douglas, 79, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN, he was born May 20, 1946, to the late George Alexander Douglas and Inez Millian Douglas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Yarber Douglas; brother, Harry Lee Douglas; sister, Barbara Seaborn; and son, Charles Edward Wade III. He was a retired supervisor from Maytag and a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.
Kenneth was a man of many hobbies; to name a few- he enjoyed listening to bluegrass, fishing, hunting, restoring old guns, playing card games, and playing bass guitar in the band at church. Most of all, he enjoyed sharing those hobbies with the people he cared about, whether it be his friends or his family. He will be remembered as a kind, light-hearted man that had an infectious enthusiasm for living life and a way of making even the mundane moments of life feel fun. He was a joy to be around, and he was loved and admired by many. He will be missed.
He is survived by his two sons, Kevin Douglas(Tasha), Keith Douglas(Tammy), Scott Wade; daughters, Summer Douglas, Renae Hartert(Joe); grandchildren, Sabra Robinson(Kevin), Marcus Campbell, Neil Hartert, Kristen Hartert, Brian Hartert, Morgan Oetzman(Alan) Evan Douglas, Nathan Douglas(Shasta), Justin Douglas(Amber), Evelyn Mooneyham, and many precious great grandchildren, beloved nieces and nephews, as well as many wonderful friends.
Kenneth's family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home, Ridge Chapel from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on December 22, 2025. The service will be held at the funeral home on December 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm with the burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Justin Douglas, Clay Goins, Neil Hartert, Brian Hartert, Blake Heiskell and Kevin Robinson.
