     Mr. Kenneth Gilliams, age 70, of Burlington, NC, passed away, surrounded by his family on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Alamance Health Care after several months of failing health.

     Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph Gilliams and the late Ann Obie Gilliams and was married for 21 years to Mrs. Marcella Perpeet Gilliams, who survives. Kenneth was a chemist in the plastic manufacturing industry and formerly in the Army National Guard. He was greatly interested in science and technology and enjoyed fishing and exercising. He was a loving husband, stepfather and step grandfather.

     Mr. Gilliams is survived by his wife of the home; three stepdaughters, Genetta Bullock, Frencheska Hunter (Reginald, son-in-law) and Nicole Bullock; seven step grandchildren, Lynnzey Lewis, Morghan Lewis, Dayanna Aviles, Kalani Aviles, Junior Aviles, Marley Harris and Ajani Vance; two sisters, Christine Gibson (Ron, brother-in-law) and Sandra Gravney; a brother, Joe Gilliams; and extended family in New York and North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Davis.

     There will be a memorial gathering from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
