Kenneth Gottschaldt Obituary

Kenneth Gottschaldt passed away peacefully, reuniting at last with his beloved wife, Anna Giacalone-Gottschaldt, who preceded him in death earlier this year.
Born and raised in Glendale, New York, Kenneth was a proud alumnus of St. John Lutheran School and Richmond Hill High School, Class of 1973. He continued his education at CUNY LaGuardia Community College before graduating from CUNY Medgar Evers College in 1978.
A lifelong Lutheran, Kenneth was a longtime member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Wilmington, Delaware, where he happily served as an usher. He loved greeting everyone who walked through the doors, and his warm conversations made him a beloved presence.
Kenneth and Anna shared a long and loving marriage. Together, they enjoyed evenings at the theater and dinners out on the town-two joys that brightened their lives.
He will be remembered fondly for his warm heart, talkative nature, and deep affection for the people and places that brought him comfort.
Kenneth was predeceased by his wife Anna and parents Edward and Helen. He is survived by his special cousin, Arlene Tiffin, who so lovingly cared for him. His brother-in-law, Michael Giacalone and sister-in-law, Griselda; and his niece, Angela Giacalone.
Memorial donations may be made in Kenneth's memory to Concordia Lutheran Church or to a local theater organization by clicking Donate-two things he loved most. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Kenneth, please visit our floral store.
