Kenneth Karl Gottschling age 63 of Girard, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, May 27, 2023 at his home after a long battle with liver cancer.
He was born in Erie on February 29, 1960, the son of the late Douglas A. and Anna Breining Gottschling.
Kenneth graduated from Girard High school class of 1978, letterman in the sports of basketball and tennis.
Kenneth was a well-known business owner of Gottschling Concrete and Masonry for the past 32 years, he exemplified a great pride and passion in his work, resulted in a quality job well done.
Kenneth pride was clearing his land and building his home and business, spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle and raising Labrador Retrievers. He will be sorely missed.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Roseanne Gresh, his cousin Christopher Breining, brother in laws: Chuck Gresh and his wife Kelly; and Martin Gresh and his wife Cynthia; sister in laws: Valerie Clark and her husband Michael; and Christine Gresh; most proud of his niece, Rachel Schwind and her husband Kevin; Nephews: Mitchell Gresh, Michael, and Sean Clark, and niece Connie Dieter and her husband Travis.
Services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street, Girard.
The family would like to thank the Oncology Team from AHN St. Vincent for the good care over the past 8 years enabling Kenny to enjoy his family and friends and continue to work his masonry business.
Memorials may be made to the Erie Special Olympics, c/o Norm Beatty, 598 Eagley Road, East Springfield, PA 16411.
