Kenneth Wayne "Ken" Hafley, 70 a resident of Birchwood, TN passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at his home. He was born in Chattanooga, TN on September 20, 1953, a son of the late Harold & Viola Hafley. Ken was a gifted automotive repairman and owned his own repair business in Huntsville, AL and then later relocated back to Chattanooga, TN. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles in his spare time, but above all he enjoyed spending precious time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a grandson Johnny Michael Poe and grandmother Dana Hafley.
Ken leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 27 years Carolyn VanBrunt Hafley, two sons Chris Poe (Cameo Herndon) and Edward Poe (Rhonda), seven grandchildren Amber Gist (Josh), Johnny M. Poe, Christopher W. Poe (Heather), Brandon L. Poe, Peyton Poe, Logan Broom and Aaron Poe, six great grandchildren Skylyn Gist, Aubrielle "Tractor Girl" Gist, Enki Poe, Khole Poe, Brooklyn Poe and Liam Poe, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Original Companion Funeral Chapel located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating his life will follow the visitation time on Tuesday at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Guinn Green officiating.
