Kenneth (Ken) Anthony Henry was born in Denver, Colorado on November 10, 1971, to the late Samuel and Herber Lee Henry. He graduated from Rangeview High School, in Aurora Colorado in 1989, where he was in Army ROTC, and attended the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado. He had a little too much fun at Colorado School of Mines and decided to serve in the Army in 1991. Ken later attended Arizona State University.
Ken started his 24-year career in the cellular industry with Alltel, subsequently serving as an engineer at Verizon. After leaving Verizon, being self-taught, became a successful day trader.
Ken gave his life to Jesus Christ at a young age. Ken was a member of the Promise Keepers where he had many friends. As a man of faith, Ken often reached out to help people because of his connection with them. He had a heart for Christians who were under oppression and supported the Voice of the Martyrs organization. Inspired by his desire to help others and gain a new perspective on community service, Ken traveled to Mexico to help build homes for Habitat for Humanity. Ken went to the Holy Land and was re-baptized in the Jordan River.
Kenneth is survived by his 5 brothers, Ronald (Karen), Bruce, Stewart, David (Alice), and Christopher (Bobara) and 4 sisters, Anita (Alvin Jr.), Myra (Thomas), Diana (Gregory-deceased), and Jennifer (Barry), as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
