Kenneth Wendell Hicks passed away peacefully following a sudden illness on December 24, 2025.
He was born on May 8, 1923, to Royal Christian Hicks and Dora Hansen Hicks. Kenneth graduated from Lehi High school in 1941 and went on to build a life defined by hard work, faith, and deep devotion to his family.
On May 24, 1947, he married his true love, Alveretta Quinn. Their marriage was later sealedin the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1965, a reflection of their enduring love and shared faith.
Kenneth spent his working years in construction, operating heavy equipment—work he truly loved and took great pride in. Outside of work, he found great joy in his yard, which lovingly transformed into a park-like setting filled with beautiful flowers, trees, and shrubs.
Kenneth was a friend to all—no one was ever a stranger to him. He was always willing to help, offering his time, strength, and kindness freely. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and cherished activities such as water skiing, snow skiing, camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He was a great example of what a good husband and father should be.
He is survived by his children: Kenny Hicks; Joseph Hicks (Zella); Debbie Bingham (Marc); and daughter-in-law Vickie Hicks, wife of Don Carl Hicks. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his eight siblings; his daughter Vickie Hansen (Greg); his son Don Carl Hicks; and his granddaughters Kennarae Hicks and Krystal Dawn Hansen.
