Kenneth Richard Jenkins

Pastor Ken Jenkins, 56, of Sylva, NC was called home by the Lord on August 23, 2021, while surrounded by his family. Ken graduated from Western Carolina University in 1991. Knowing he was led by God to stay in Sylva, he followed the Lord and served for 18 years as Campus Minister of Campus Rock, a ministry of Live Forgiven Church. In 2009, Ken was ordained as Senior Pastor of Live Forgiven Church. He was a man who not only deeply believed the whole Word of God, but who also lived it out in all his actions and words. Ken always pointed people to the Lord and showed everyone the Love of Christ. The impact of his ministry has spread across the world. Many have come to know Jesus and are continuing to walk with the Lord today because of God's work through Ken's life.
Ken was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend, and most importantly, a man of God. Ken's legacy lives on in his wife, Dana, and his children, Joshua and his wife Megan, Grey, Nathan, and Joy. He will also be missed by his mother, Chizuko Jenkins, and his siblings Bill, Donna, Chris, Karla, and their families.
The Jenkins family wants to extend an invitation to all who would like to respond to the Lord in worship as we remember Ken. The worship service will begin at 7:00 pm at Live Forgiven Church on Sunday, August 29th. Please come as you are (no dress code) as we celebrate the Lord and all He has done through the life of Ken Jenkins.
