Paul Campbell Kitchens, 74, of Wesley Chapel, NC, passed away on August 10, 2025. He was born in Macon, GA on February 7, 1951, son to the late John Cason Kitchens, Sr. and Myra McCarty Kitchens. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Daniel, and his brothers, Robert Kitchens, and David Kitchens.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3413 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd. Charlotte, NC 28216. There will be a reception to follow after the service, all are welcomed.
Paul was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School, class of 1969. He was also a graduate of Western Carolina University, class of 1973. Paul was an avid golfer and had at least three hole’s-in-one through all of his years of playing. He loved watching old movies, baseball (the New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves), football (the Carolina Panthers), college football (Georgia Tech and Oregon), and college basketball (Duke University). He was also a lover of music with an extensive vinyl collection.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Diane Vaillancourt Kitchens, sons, Scott Campbell Kitchens, and Michael Wayne Greene (Donna), daughter, Nicole Christina Stanley (Jason), brother, John Cason Kitchens, Jr. (Phyllis) and their family of Raleigh, NC, and two grandchildren, Lorelei and Stella Stanley.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Holy Angels in Belmont, NC, 6600 Wilkinson Blvd. PO Box 710.
