Kenneth James Jennings, age 55, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel. He was born on Tuesday, November 4, 1969 to Jackie O'Dail Jennings and Carolyn Loretta Gipson McClure in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was raised in Rufe, Oklahoma with his mother and stepfather, Mikey McClure.

Ken was a proud Marine, a devoted family man, and a man of deep faith whose life was marked by service and love. He faithfully served his country in the United States Marines and was deployed during the Gulf Wars, carrying with him the honor and discipline that defined his life. After returning home, Ken began a long career of service to his community with the McCurtain County Sheriff's Office, where he served from 1996 to 2006. He later worked in the oil fields with JB Hunt Gas & Oil from 2006 to 2015, before returning to the Sheriff's Office from 2015 until 2021. His dedication was recognized when he was chosen as Officer of the Year, a distinction he held with great pride.

Ken's Christian faith guided his life, and his greatest joy was his family, whom he loved dearly. Outside of work, he found happiness in simple pleasures-riding his Harley motorcycle, back roading in his Jeep, and tinkering with old cars and trucks.

Ken will be remembered as a man of service, faith, and love, whose devotion to his country, his community, and his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn McClure, and one brother, Mike McClure.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Kristen Jennings of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; three sons, Douglas Jennings of Lexington, Kentucky, Nathaniel Jennings of Rufe, Oklahoma and Mika Coleman of Hochatown, Oklahoma; two daughters and son in law, Tiana Kelly and Jesus Leal of De Queen, Arkansas and Skylar Young of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Liz McClure of Maud, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Treasa and Dewayne Northcutt of Clarksville, Texas; one granddaughter, Kaydance Parsons; his step father Mikey McClure; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services are pending with cremation services entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
