Kenneth John Johnston, age 75, of Social Circle, GA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and holding his wife's hand on December 28th, 2025.
Ken was born in Bronx, NY on October 2nd, 1950 to Beatrice and Thomas Johnston. He was the middle child of three and is survived by his siblings, Tom Johnston and Eileen Taylor.
On October 26th, 1985, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Johnston. He had four children: Kendra James (Sean), Jenny Barber (Ron), Daniel Hathcock (Denise), and the late Adam Hathcock. He was a loving grandfather to Isabella, Roman (Lina), Michael, Dustin, and Seth (Chelsea). He was also a proud great-grandfather to Catherine, Ellie, Frankie, and Annabelle.
Ken was a man of integrity, strength and generosity. For thirty years, he and his wife owned and operated K&B Electric Enterprises. He was a master electrician who earned his electrical license in over 25 states. He loved to work and took pride in always giving his best, yet no matter how busy life became, he never failed to make time for his family. Ken was willing and quick to help anyone and was dedicated to his involvement in organizations like Bold Mission Builders and Disaster Relief.
Ken was an incredible man whose life was defined by hard work, kindness, and quiet generosity. He never missed a family event and was always present for those who needed him. More than anything, Ken enjoyed every cherished moment with his beautiful wife. They went through life together for forty wonderful years modeling true love and devotion to their family.
Ken was a man of great faith and led his family to Jesus. He has been a member of First Baptist Church of Social Circle for twenty years. Selfless to his core, Ken consistently put others before himself and never met a stranger. He was incredibly smart, with a wealth of knowledge, and always willing to share it. He quietly touched countless lives, often in ways few ever knew.
Ken's legacy is one of love, generosity, and integrity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
A Memorial Service to honor Ken's life will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, 2:00 P.M., at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home prior to his service, from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M.
