Kenneth Kapple Obituary
Kenneth Edson "Ed" Kapple, 84, of Belpre passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg.
He was born on June 30, 1941, in Athens County, OH a son of Harry E. Kapple and Virginia Lee Kapple. Ed graduated from Marietta High School, class of 1959. He retired in 2004 from Forma Scientific, Inc. later known as Thermo Fisher Scientific after 45 years of service. Ed loved to show his 1963 Plymouth Belvedere at car shows near and far. He was a Mopar enthusiast at heart.
Ed married Joyce Nolen Cassidy on 3/29/1999. She survives with children: Brian (Jenn) Kapple of Albany, OH and Kristine Kapple Crowe of LaBelle, FL; stepdaughter Christine Cassidy Wilson (Rick) of Parkersburg; granddaughter Megan Kapple (significant other Andrew) of Spokane, WA and granddaughter Sophie Kapple of Wilmington, NC; nephews Jeffrey (Yvonne) Holland of Marietta and James Holland of Delaware, OH; brother-in-law David Nolen of Marietta and sister-in-law Kathy Nolen Davis (Chuck) of Whipple. Ed is also survived by great nieces and great nephews and many cousins.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and sister Nellie Kapple Holland, brother-in-law Darrill Holland and stepson Jeremy Neil Cassidy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday (Dec. 19) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Rick Kapple officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
