Marcella Jean Kapple

Marcella Kapple, 92, formerly of Delta, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Arbor Springs of West Des Moines, Iowa. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Garrett Cemetery near Delta beginning at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the What Cheer Fire and Rescue. Holland-Coble of What Cheer is in charge of the arrangements.
Marcella Jean Kapple was born on October 14, 1932 at rural What Cheer, Iowa to Frank and Margaret Wickenkamp Thomas. Jean graduated from What Cheer High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Don Kapple in August of 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa. They were the parents of four children, Larry, Terry, Randy and Nancy. Jean was a private lady and enjoyed all of her time on the farm. She loved to sew, garden and was an amazing seamstress. She loved and enjoyed her family.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; son, Randi; daughter-in-law, Connie; infant twin grandsons; and granddaughter, Randi Jo O'Leary.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Joy) Kapple, Terry (Pam), and daughter, Nancy (Dante) Rebori, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as many other friends and relatives.
