Kenneth Arthur Kaschinske was received into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at age 80. Ken was born on March 26, 1945, to the late William and Helen Kaschinske of Portage, Wisconsin. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Portage, and attended St. John Lutheran School. He graduated from Concordia High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1963. Ken received his Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, IL and his Master of Education degree from the University of Toledo in 1972. He married June Elizabeth Block on July 29, 1967.
His service to the Lord in teaching began at Trinity Lutheran School in Toledo, OH, where he served as teacher, principal, and coach until 1986. At that time, he accepted a call to be principal at Peace Lutheran School in Saginaw, MI, where he served until retirement in 2010. In addition to his love for Christian education, Ken enjoyed fishing, hunting, running, camping, refereeing, time with his family, and cheering for the Valley Lutheran Chargers and the Green Bay Packers.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, June, and by brothers Robert (Carrie) Kaschinske and Ray (Betty) Kaschinske, as well as sister Martha (Dale) Anacker. Ken is survived by his children Brett (Carla) Kaschinske, Eric (Amy) Kaschinske, Ronda (Paul) Goetz, and Daren (Katrina) Kaschinske. Also surviving are his grandchildren Kaitlyn (Derek) Troxell, Alexa Kaschinske, Courtney Kaschinske, Mason (Abby) Kaschinske, Rhaya (Joshua) Shull, Landon Kaschinske, Addison and Thomas Goetz, and Audrey and Carter Kaschinske.
Visitation will take place Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Visitation will continue Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Rev. Erik Schmidt will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery, Frankenmuth, Michigan.
In honor of Ken's love of Lutheran education, memorials can be made to Peace Lutheran Church and School or Valley Lutheran High School.
