Kenneth Le Rohl

June 1, 1947 – September 1, 2025

Kenneth O. LeRohl was born June 1, 1947 at his parents' home in Ross, ND to Ole Le Rohl and Margaret (Bannerman) Le Rohl. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, attended grade school in Ross and graduated from Stanley High School in 1965. He was an avid basketball and baseball player in his youth. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Army, serving at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and Ft. Monmouth, NJ in the Signal Corp and was honorably discharged in June 1967. He began working for AT&T Communications in July 1967 in Bismarck, ND and he married Peggy Lystad in Ross, ND in September 1967. They had two daughters, Dawn and Holly and they lived in Bismarck, Dickinson and Williston, ND. Kenny and Peggy divorced in 1974. He lived in Fargo, ND from 1974 to 1976 before moving to Billings, MT where he married Renee Flint. They lived in Billings and Laurel, MT. He had one stepdaughter, Jennifer Flint. Kenny retired from AT&T Communications in 1998 with over 31 years of service. In 2001, Kenny and Renee divorced. In 2002, he returned to Williston and resided there until 2013 when he moved to the North Dakota Veterans Home in Lisbon, ND. On June 24, 2025, Kenny became a resident of the Oakes Good Samaritan Society, where he passed away on September 1, 2025.

He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post #4 in Billings, MT and of the Moose Lodge #239 in Williston, ND. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, woodworking, golfing, playing pinochle and pool and genealogy.

Preceding Kenny in death were his mother and father; half-sisters, Cora Haustveit, Norine Anderson, Lillian Aahl and Olga Torgerson; sisters Donna Bokn and Avis Borst; and brother, Harlow Le Rohl. Surviving him are his daughters, Dawn Spencer and Holly Le Rohl; one grandchild; a sister-in-law, Alma Le Rohl; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and lifelong friends, Bryan and Brenda Beyer.

Per Kenny's wishes, there will be no funeral service held. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND. Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Oakes is in charge of the arrangements. Online guestbook signing here.
