SHIRLEY MAY LEROHL, age 73, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Worthington, died Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born October 25, 1949, in Adrian, to William and Dorothy (Johnson) Boltjes. She graduated from Worthington High School.
Shirley married Douglas Lerohl on June 25, 1988 in Adrian. The couple lived in Worthington before moving to Burnsville. They later moved to Golden, CO before making their home in Sioux Falls, SD. Shirley worked at Tempo, in Worthington, which later became ALCO. She worked at Sioux Printing and later at Amesbury-Door Hardware in Sioux Falls, SD. She enjoyed baking, coffee with friends, her cat, Taz and spending time with family.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Doug Lerohl, Sioux Falls, SD; six siblings, Bill (Barb) Boltjes, Fairmont; Jim Boltjes, Brewster; twin Sharon (Jeff) Shubert, Worthington; Burdell (Cheryl) Boltjes, Worthington; Gary (Cheryl) Boltjes, Adrian; and Beverly (Bryon) Spittle, Worthington; sister-in-law, Vickie Boltjes, Rushmore; many nieces & nephews; many step nieces & nephews; and two step siblings, Linda Woitaszewski, Waco, TX; and Dean Woitaszewski, Redwood Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bruce Boltjes; a step mother, Irene; and a step niece, Heather.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 am Wednesday, Sept. 20 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Funeral will be 11 am Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Daren Flinck. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
