Kenneth E. Linton, age 81, passed away Friday, May 17, 2025 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. He was born Kenneth Elmer Linton on June 5, 1942 to Luther Elmer Linton and Amorette Brown Linton.
He was a faithful Nazarene in his life. He loved building and crafting many things and was a master carpenter. He owned and operated Linton Construction from the time it opened in 1974 until he retired. He was a member on several boards including the Natchez Trace Electric Power Association Board and the Houlka School Board. Houston Funeral Home is honored to serve the Linton Family.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 12 PM at the Bent Knee Cowboy Church in Houlka, MS with Bro. Jacob Samuell officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM to time of service that day. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Alice (Brad) Mize of Columbus, MS; two sons, Barry (Mary Katherine) Linton of Moody, AL and Patrick (Lisa) Linton of Verona, MS; his grandchildren, Lana (Andy) Swartz, Monica (Kyle) Coleman, Kyle (Sydney) Linton, Conner Linton, Claire Linton, Stephanie (Gerren) Turner, Nicole (Michael) Schmitz, Joel (Maegan) Linton, Luke and Beau Mize; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Glenda Hatcher and one brother, Gary (Marilyn) Linton both of Houlka, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Amorette Linton and his wife, Judy Linton.
