Kenneth Lee McQuerrey, of Republic, MO, went home to be with the Lord on April 09, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Ken was 80 years old. He was born on May 02, 1944, in Lawson, MO, to Everett and Marie (Bridges) McQuerrey.
Ken graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1962. He married Linda Dowell and was blessed with three children, Guy, Charlie, and Kenny. He later married Holly Whiteman, who brought a daughter, Stephanie, to the family.
Ken was a hardworking and skilled tradesman. He worked as an installer for Overhead Door Company and eventually owned and operated his own company, Ken's Overhead Doors. He was a shop foreman at Frazier Brothers (later Asplundh Tree Services) for many years. He also worked as a tow truck driver and in later years, mowed lawns and fixed mowers and small equipment for friends. He didn't know how to sit still!
Ken was a funny, outgoing gentleman who enjoyed a good pipe, a game of dominos or cards, and shooting pool with his son Charlie. Ken was a very hard worker and was always willing to lend a helping hand for others. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and their time together.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Holly.
Kenneth is survived by his sons, Kenny (Julie) McQuerrey, Charlie (Michelle) McQuerrey and Guy McQuerrey, daughter Stephanie Daniels and husband Jason, grandchildren Brooke McQuerrey, Cara McQuerrey and Chasidy McQuerrey, Logan (Brianna) Daniels, Molly (Caleb) Tyre, Bella Daniels and Nathan Daniels, great-granddaughter Ari, sister Evalyn Bollinger, as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Republic.
