Holly Jeanette McQuerrey, of Republic, MO, passed away on Friday, August 09, 2024 at the young age of 64 years old. She fought a difficult battle with a rare neurological disease that took her too quickly from this world. She will be remembered as the vibrant and creative person she was to the people who knew her.
Holly was born in Garden Grove, California on November 26, 1959, to Melvin and Shirley (Brown) Whiteman; the third of four children from that union. Two more siblings joined the family after Shirley married Warren Branson in 1963. The family lived in CA, GA, TX, CA, CO, CA, WI, CO, MO, IL, and MO. She attended 13 different schools before graduating from West Plains in 1977.
Holly was blessed with one daughter Stephanie before meeting and marrying Kenneth McQuerrey in December of 1980, and with him she gained three sons, Kenny, Charlie and Guy.
Holly graduated from Drury University with a associates degree in business in 1993. She enjoyed crafting in a variety of ways such as knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, and pottery. She also enjoyed reading and watching murder mystery shows.
Holly is preceded in death by her father; Melvin Whiteman, stepfather Warren Branson and two brothers Phillip Whiteman and Lee Branson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Kenneth, daughter Stephanie Daniels and husband Jason, mother, Shirley Branson, stepsons, Kenny (Julie) McQuerrey, Charlie (Michelle) McQuerrey and Guy McQuerrey, grandchildren Logan (Brianna) Daniels, Molly (Caleb) Tyre, Bella and Nathan Daniels, Brooke McQuerrey, Cara McQuerrey and Chasidy McQuerrey, great great-granddaughter Ari, sisters Becky Middleton and Teresa Glaspy, brother Russell (Miranda) Branson as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Holly's Life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Republic.
