Kenneth R. Michaels

WAREHAM - Kenneth Robert Michaels, Sr., 92, of Wareham, died January 12, 2022, peacefully at home. He was the husband of the late Lillian Claire Michaels and the son of Charles and Annabelle Michaels.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived in Wareham, MA for the past 46 years. Mr. Michaels was a devoted husband for 65 years, dedicated father and loving grandfather. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as a quartermaster from 1952-1956 on the USS Antietam. He was a man of great faith who cherished his family above all.
He is survived by his son Kenneth R. Michaels, Jr. and his wife Victoria of Wareham; 5 daughters, Elaine Gorham and her late husband Joseph of Brockton, Cheryl Jenness of Jamaica Plain, Colleen Walsh and her husband, John of Jamaica Plain, Kathleen Pimentel and her husband John of New Bedford, and Noreen Michaels of Dorchester. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, Karl, Alyson, Robert, Ryan, Kayla and Julia; and 5 great grandchildren, Ethan, Lucas, Grace, Faith, and Zander. He was predeceased by his 3 sisters Lillian, Nancy, and Ruth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 20, 2022 at St. Patrick's Church, 82 High St., Wareham at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours have been omitted.
