Son of Kenneth Gerald O'Dea, Sr. and predeceased by Mother, Wanda Dolores O'Dea. Big Brother to Karen (John) O'Connor, Kimberly (Eric) Landgraf, and Katherine O'Dea. Loving Husband of the late Gloria Jean O'Dea. Father of Lauren O'Dea, Kenneth Gerald O'Dea, III (Ashley). Pop pop (like a father) to Kayla Dexter (fiance' Zachary Redding). Step-father to Amber (Victor) Nappier. Grandfather of Ashton Nappier, Olivia Donaway (Collin), Hope Jade O'Connor, Taylor Grimes, Nicholas Liupaeter, Jr., Aubrey O'Dea, and Graison King. "Favorite" Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Ken, a.k.a. Kenny, had one great love in his life - Gloria. Although he was constantly looking for a second great love, he never found her. He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart and gave of his time freely - even dropping everything to drive his granddaughter across the country at the last minute. He loved to golf, and was very competitive - both in his desire to win and his skill - especially when younger. He loved to dance. He often took his dad to their favorite haunts so they could enjoy the music of a favorite band and he'd always be on the floor with his little sister, Kathy, doing the swing dance! He was an entrepreneur. He owned a successful pizza delivery business and a successful floor cleaning business. He had a quick, sharp wit and could debate on many and varied subjects.
Although somewhat stubborn in his opinions, he would always agree to disagree. He loved "The Great Outdoors", but was considering a move to Arizona, although he had no desire to see a big hole in the ground. He had great style and was an impeccable dresser. He was a true gentleman who carried himself with class and poise. He had a great many friends in Maryland, Florida and Arizona. He will be missed by all of them! He was loved dearly! Until we meet again, Ken.FORE!
The family will recieve friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Rd. Reisterstown, MD 21136 on Tuesday, June 4th from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM. I just learned of Ken's passing tonight and I was really surprised. He was such a fun, wonderful man and an excellent dancer. He was a great friend. Have not seen him much lately but I still thought a lot of them and I'm really sorry to hear this. May his soul rest in peace and God bless him and his family

The world has lost a very special man, a kindhearted soul who was a true gentleman at heart. Ken brought a smile to all who knew him and he will be missed and remembered forever.

During the spring and summer of 1972 I played either golf or tennis with Ken almost every day. At Ken's insistence, we usually played for money. He was very competitive. Ken drove a green Corvair that he had been gifted by some eccentric relative -- the car had peace symbols painted on it. I was with Ken when he drove to a car dealer to look at a used blue C3 Corvette. He bought the car a few days later.
