Kenneth H. Partlow, 90 of West Berlin, rose to Heaven on Thursday, December 5th, 2024. Kenneth was born in Northfield to Charles and Margaret (Perra) Partlow on August 26, 1934.
Ken joined the Navy at the tender age of 16 during the Korean War, after discharge he built his home and raised his family in West Berlin. He served in the VT National Guard and was a lifetime member of the American legion and VFW.
In his younger days, Ken worked in the stone sheds and heavy construction. After recovering from serious health issues he worked at National Life Insurance Company until his retirement at age 80.
He was an avid sportsman, raised award winning beagles all of his life, and was a master beekeeper. He was a proud member of the Northfield Beagle Club for many years.
Ken was fortunate to find new love with Barbra Merrill. They were blessed with 40 years together before her passing in 2014. His final love was Teresa Brooks, together they found joy for 5 years before her passing in 2023
Ken is survived by his children, William K (Terri) Partlow, Timothy (Cathy) Partlow, Bonnie (Rockland) Sanders, all of Northfield, Lori Briggs and partner Don Belmont of West Berlin, Lisa (Scott) Partlow-Millington, of Statesville NC, James Partlow and partner Regina Novotny of Marion, NC, and his surrogate children, Mike and Roger Merrill and Nancy Clark, and his surviving sister, Teresa of Juneau AK. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Ken was predeceased by his parents, 13 siblings, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday December 10th, at the Kingston Funeral Home in Northfield. Funeral services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Veterans Place, 220 Vine Street, Northfield, VT 05663 vermontveteransplace.org
