Beloved husband of Michelle Powell (née DeLisle), whom he married on June 4th, 2004. Adored father of Amber Powell. Beloved son of Beverly Powell. Brother of Eric Powell, Alan Powell, Adam Powell and Cassie Powell. Ken also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends. He will be deeply missed.
Ken was preceded in passing by his father Kenneth Powell and Fred Thiel.
Ken grew up in Hometown, IL and attended Oak Lawn High School, class of 1983. After school Ken began his career in the home remodeling business. He took great pride in the work he did updating homes and especially kitchens. For a short time he was also a certified Private Investigator.
In his free time Ken liked to go fishing. He also enjoyed Ham Radio and was a licensed General Class operator. His call sign is N9QPE. Ken was an animal lover at heart, and would even "gift" live animals to friends (if they let him). We have had dogs, fish, tortoises, bearded dragons, chameleons, etc. over the years.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial Visitation will be held on April 3rd, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Memorial Service on April 4th, 2025 starting at 11:00am at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home at 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. The family will be holding the inurnment privately at Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park IL. At a later date yet to be determined.

Ken was a riot I have not seen him in many years but did talk to him from time to time my condolences to the Powell family

Ken, my best buddy, I will surely miss our 2-3 hour phone calls. We kept in close touch, due to me living out of state now. I love you and Michelle, and always will. You are in my heart brother. I will miss you greatly. Love, Dave Hoffman
