In Loving Memory of Kenneth (Ken) Wayne Rambo (1963–2025)

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth (Ken) Wayne Rambo who left us far too soon on July 13, 2025, at the age of 62. Ken died surrounded by the deep and abiding love of family and friends after a three-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.

Ken was a devoted husband, a loving father, a loyal friend, and a man whose warmth, integrity, and tireless work ethic touched all who knew him. Born on February 3, 1963, Ken lived his life with a rare magnanimity and a deep, unwavering love for those around him. He believed in the importance of showing up, of working hard without complaint, and of finding joy in even the smallest moments. Whether he was helping with his son Alex's many band activities, staying late to help a colleague, or lighting up the room with his laughter, Ken lived each day with purpose and heart.

He graduated from high school in El Paso, Texas, went on to earn Bachelor of Science degrees in both Mathematics and Computer Science from Southern Methodist University, and later obtained two master's degrees from Queens University in Business Administration, and Talent and Organizational Development. Ken will be remembered for his high intellect and his ultimate superpower – logic. He was a knowledge-seeker and was passionate about acquiring new skills, from technology to pottery. He was an avid Skier and SCUBA diver. He loved to travel the world and to go to remote places like the Masai Mara in Kenya to Patagonia and Antarctica. His sense of adventure stayed with him until the end-hiking in Iceland just weeks before his passing so he could share one last trip with his family.

He built a life rooted in dedication - to his family, his work, and the values he held dear. He led by example, never asking for recognition, yet earning the respect of everyone lucky enough to cross his path. His hands were always busy, his door always open, and his heart always full.

Ken is survived by his wife, Gina, their son Alex- his sisters, Cheryl, Debra, and Bonnie, and a wide circle of extended family, friends, and coworkers who admired and loved him deeply. His legacy will live on in the lessons he taught, the stories he told, and the love he gave so freely.

Though his time with us was cut far too short, the impact Ken made in his 62 years is immeasurable. He taught us what it means to live fully, love fiercely, and give everything your best. He taught us how to die gracefully.

Rest easy, Ken. You gave us everything. And we will carry you with us, always.

A memorial service celebrating Ken's life will be held on Saturday, September 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Queens University Belk Chapel. All are welcome to attend and honor the life of a truly exceptional man.
