Kenneth "Kenny" Fay Richards, 65, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at IU Health Methodist Hospital, surrounded by close friends and members of his church. Kenny was born on December 23, 1959, in Marion, Indiana to the late Ruth and Bobby Richards. He went to Mississinewa High School, class of 1978. He did Quality Control as a Machinist for various manufacturing companies around Indianapolis, including Tigart Laser System Inc., Paramount Industrial and Paragon Medical.

Kenny was a member of St. Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had a strong faith in God, liked to study the bible and often volunteered for his church. He was proudly baptized into his church on December 22, 2024.

Kenny had a great sense of humor, enjoyed comic books and science fiction, and appreciated the small things in life. He had a big heart and was always there for his friends and family. He looked after and cared for both his mother and his eldest brother until their death. He was a loving and caring uncle, and a dedicated and loyal friend, especially to those he maintained friendships with for over 30+ years. He was an avid dog lover and one of the great joys in his life was having a loyal canine companion by his side.

Kenny is survived by his elder brother, Rodger (Maryanne) Richards Sr.; adoring nieces and nephews: Tommy (Elif) Dunlap, Kori (Donald) Mapes, Rodger Richards Jr., Brad (Chantel) Richards, Kristy Richards, Jonathan Richards, Amy Richards, Sherry Bevars, and Casey (Stephen) Howlett; several step-nieces and nephews; close and lifelong friends, Cory Casler, Richard and Cindy Willis; many close church friends; and his beloved dog, Ralphie.

Kenny is preceded in death by his sisters, Constance "Connie" (Roger) Nantz and Brenda (Jeffrey) Johnson; brother Thomas Richards; nephew, Cody Nantz Sr.; and his adored dogs, Tiny and Lilly.

There will not be a service, but donations can be made, in his honor, to St. Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Contact: [email protected] or donate via Zelle to [email protected].
