KENNETH CARL ROETHLISBERGER, 82, died at 3:10 a.m. June 25, 2005, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. He was born Aug. 16, 1922, in Lima to Aldine and Clara Zimmerly Roethlisberger, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 4, 1945, he married Audrey Louise Heslop, who survives in Lima. Mr. Roethlisberger was co-owner of Repps Sporting Goods. He was an employee of Bob Schulte at Spherion. He was a member of Lima Trinity United Methodist Church and Lima Kiwanis Club. He graduated from Bowling Green State University. With the reserve officers, he served as a lieutenant in the Naval Air Corps in World War II with 18 months in the South Pacific (Pearl Harbor). He served from Oct. 12, 1942, to Jan. 3, 1946. He was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 205 and a life member of the YMCA. He was the first coach for the Ohio State University Lima Branch basketball team from 1965 to 1966. Survivors also include three sons, Richard Alan (Sharon) Roethlisberger of Lima, Robert Scott (Kim) Roethlisberger of Elida and Kenneth Todd (Brenda) Roethlisberger of Findlay; five grandchildren, Elyse (Justin) Keller of Toledo, Tara (Jeffrey) Fisher of Columbus, Stacy Roethlisberger of Elida, Ben Roethlisberger of Pittsburgh and Carlee Roethlisberger of Findlay; and two great-grandchildren, Riley Keller and Bryce Keller, both of Toledo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Roethlisberger. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery, Allentown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Memorial Health System Auxiliary.
