Kenneth A. "Kenny" "Ken" Scheibel, Jr., 81, passed away on February 23, 2025 at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Bedford, MA. He was born on April 30, 1943, in Newton, Massachusetts, and grew up cherishing the summers spent at his family's cabin in Bradford, NH, and swimming in Lake Massasecum.
In 1963, Kenny enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably from 1963 to 1967, including the Vietnam War. His service to his country was a source of great pride throughout his life.
After his time in the Marines, Ken met his wife, Jackie. They settled in Acton, Massachusetts, where they built a life together and raised their three daughters, Jessica, Johanna and Kimberly.
Throughout his career, Ken owned and operated his Private Investigation company, "Jessco," which kept him engaged in interesting and sometimes thrilling work. He also worked at the Acton Post Office, where he was a familiar and friendly face to many.
Those who knew Ken will remember him for always having a great story to tell. Whether it was about his time in the USMC, his experiences as a Private Investigator, or one of his many adventures, his storytelling always captivated his audience.
As a father, Ken was known for his unwavering devotion to his three daughters. He spent countless summers on the beaches of Cape Cod, swimming, fishing, and boating with his family and friends. In the winter months, he could often be found skiing at Mount Sunapee or Wachusett with his daughters and brothers. His love for adventure and family was evident, as he also made a point of attending every one of his daughters' sports games, supporting them from the sidelines.
As the girls grew older and moved out, Ken's days were brightened by walking his beloved golden retriever, Brady. These walks became his quiet moments of contentment.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Jacqueline Scheibel; daughters Jessica Rosadini and her husband Matt Rosadini, Johanna Scheibel and her partner Leo Bertolami, and Kimberly Scheibel; and grandchildren Dylan, Tyler, Kayla, and Kyle Rosadini. He is also survived by his brothers Carl Biancucci and his partner Sue Lemont, and Phil Biancucci and his wife Terri; sister-in-law Kathleen Scheibel; nieces Melanie Coyne and Erin Valentine; and nephew Michael Biancucci. Ken was predeceased by his brother Alan Scheibel.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Acton Funeral Home, located at 470 Massachusetts Ave., Acton, MA 01720.
Ken's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
