Kenneth Short, 85, of Monroe, passed away on March 1, 2026.
Born in Athens, GA., he was the son of the late John and Jackie Short. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, bird hunting, camping, and reading a good military novel; but nothing was more important than spending time with his beautiful family.
Survivors include his children Scott (Pam) Short, Robin (Mark) Haywood and granddaughter Autumn Garner.
Along with his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Johnson Short and brother, Ted Short and Johnny Short.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels To Towers Foundation (https://t2t.org/) or the Georgia Garden Club (https://gardenclubofgeorgia.org/).
