Kenneth Colby Simon, was born on June 11, 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee. Tragically, he passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2025, in Union City, Tennessee. Kenny was a devoted father, a loving partner, and a cherished brother, uncle and son, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.  A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Peabody High School, beginning at 10:00 A.M.

Kenneth worked for several years as a foreman at Asplundh Tree Service, where his dedication and work ethic shone brightly. A proud high school graduate of Peabody High School 2010, he pursued his passions with zeal. Kenneth attended the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church under the direction of Bishop Larry Jackson.  He adored his daughters—Nakenna, Neveah, and Nyler—and loved his family deeply, always making them a priority in his life. His greatest joy came from meeting the love of his life, Candice Marie Murphy, with whom he shared over 15 years of partnership and the joys of parenthood.

Kenneth was known for his keen sense of fashion and his love for grooming. He often took time to look good, believing that his appearance reflected his vibrant personality. Whether it was a new pair of shoes or a carefully chosen outfit, Kenneth embraced life with style. Beyond his fashion sense, he had a genuine passion for sports, especially Tennessee sports, from football to softball, and he found joy in identifying trees as one of his many hobbies.

He is survived by his beloved fiancée, Candice, and their three precious daughters. His family circle extends to his father, Anthony Ray Simon, and his mother, Sheri Ann Smothers Simon. Kenny shared a tight bond with his three brothers—Anthony Simon, Jr., Dakota Simon (Marija), and Dallas Simon (Destinique)—as well as his two sisters, Porsha Simon (Johnathan) and Cheyanne Simon. He was a proud uncle to his nieces Madison, Jordyn, Amora, Dallas, and his nephews Xavier, Eli, Messiah, Javari, and Jayven, who will undoubtedly carry fond memories of their Uncle Kenny with them. His maternal grandfather, David Smothers, and maternal uncle and aunt, Kevin Smothers (Apyina), also mourn his loss alongside his best friend, Dustin Smith.

Kenny will be missed dearly by all who loved him, including those who have gone before him: his paternal grandparents Thomas and Marie Simon, his maternal grandmother Melissa Smothers, his aunts Sabrina Simon and Sylvia Easley, uncle James Smothers, and his nephew Anthony Samples. Kenny’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. The legacy of love and joy he created, particularly through his daughters, will live on as a testament to his life. Rest in peace, dear Kenny. You are loved beyond measure.

John 14:1-3 “Let not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, that where I am you may be also."
