Kenneth W. Simpson Sr.

Kenneth W. Simpson, Sr., 75, of Danevang, passed away August 4, 2025. He was born in Bay City on November 4, 1949, to Samuel Simpson, Sr., and Lucy Mae Smith Simpson. Kenneth was a truck driver for many years. He retired from Nutrien Ag Solutions in 2012. He loved working on things and spending time with his family. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann; daughter, Tammy Simpson (Bill); son, Kenneth Simpson, Jr. (Jessica); grandchildren, Alyssa Kight (Dustin), Jared Kidwell (Taylor), Jordan Kidwell, Megan Bustamante, Brianna Bustamante, Hailey Bustamante and Kailyn Bustamante and great grandchildren, Royalty Rose Ortiz and Sapphire Renee Ortiz. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Freddy Lee, who passed a few days after birth, Samuel Robert Simpson, Jr., Charles Richard Simpson, Susan Anne Steen and Gladys Mae Ray and great grandchildren, Robert Abel Johnson, Jr. and Khyree Abel Johnson. The family will receive family and friends for visitation at 1 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at Saint Philip Catholic Church, El Campo, with a Rosary recited at 1:30 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Collins Yaw Twum officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jared Kidwell, Jordan Kidwell, Bill Bustamante, Danny Tupa, Brad Tupa and Robert Clark, Jr.
