My sincere condolences to Ellen Smith and family. May God grant you peace as you think of the fond memories you all had of Kenny. He was such a kind person and always willing to go the extra mile to help others, especially the kids. As everyone has already said his parking lot ministry will always be remembered. Mya God blessings be upon your family during this time. Love you all, Tina Braswell

My sincere condolences to the Smith family. May God grant you his promised comfort. I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet Kenny. He was such a nice person. He spread joy with his bright smile and by the way he celebrated jokes. I will miss my friend.

Brother Kenneth Smith was a true example of
being "My Brothers Keeper", he was kind to everyone he came in contact with. He was good for a laugh to, you may have been the one he
was joking about, all you could do was laugh along with him. He worked hard and demonstrated
a level of excellence that showed in all that
he did, joyfully, he was serious about ministry. Bro Kenneth Smith answered the call, and left a "powerful" legacy behind. Pastor Ellen Smith and family, "keep your memories close to your hearts", my prayer is that the "Lord" will this day, and the days to come meet your every need!

To the entire Smith family, I have seen the children grow up, serve in the ministry with Ellen and Kenny. I am a benefactor of Kenny's ministry with Shalom as he referred to me as the 'hat lady'. Thank you Smith family, thank you Kenny and Ellen, I stand with you my friend forever. Kenny was the epitome of a husband, father, and man of God. May his soul rest in peace with our heavenly father. Your sister in Christ, Tanya (Wales, United Kingdom)

Kenney, I got to know you through our mutual love for tennis. In doing so, l soon came to know you as a loving husband, a wonderful father and a friend to all. It was an honor to have known you.

I offer sincere condolences from me and Lauren. Kenny was the best parking lot buddy ever at Shalom. This picture is a great depiction of the Kenny I encountered every Sunday. I will truly miss Kenny, his wonderful smiles and stories. Kenny was a life well lived. Sandra Pyant

I had the pleasure of serving on the Counting team with Brother Smith for many years. We laughed and talked about everythig. (Food, HBCU, Church, Joshua, Joi, ...etc). Brother Smith had the indirect responsibility of trying to keep me in line ...but because of the respect I had for him, I managed to always stay right below the curve..lol....I will miss the laughs we shared on our weeks of counting...memories will live on.....but you will be missed....Your sister in Christ...Katrina
