Kenneth R. Smith passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. He was 77 years old.
Son of the late Allan & Josephine Smith, Kenny was born on March 25, 1948 in Bronx, NY. He was a retired Delivery Driver for Consolidated Dairies in Union, NJ. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1967, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Woodbury American Legion Post #779 in Highland Mills, NY, where he held all of the positions. He was also a member of the Woodbury Community Association and the Catholic War Veterans of the United States. Kenny served as a Little League Coach for several years, was a Security Guard at Earl Reservoir Park, and was a loyal supporter of Wreaths Across America.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan D. Chace Smith at home; sons: Allan Smith of Northborough, MA and Brian Smith of Miami, FL; brother, Steven Smith & his wife Christine of Ridgefield Park, NJ; sister, Joanne Lenzie & her husband John of Tannersville, PA; sister-in-law, Noreen Smith of North Bergen, NJ; and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews; and countless friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Smith.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY. A Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
