Kenneth DeWayne(Way-ne) Smith was born on October 27th, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri to Frederic Smith and Annie L. Smith
He was raised and attended school in Kansas City, Missouri, graduating from R.J. Delano School in 1987. Kenneth last worked at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel.
Kenneth was born with a birth-defect that challenged him throughout his entire life and led to his declining health before his passing. Part of his testimony is that he was here to touch the hearts and minds of those that knew and met him.
Kenneth also enjoyed cigarettes and smoked Turkey Legs.
Kenneth departed this life on October 17, 2025. Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory; siblings Karla Kelley, Frederic G. Smith, Michelle and Nicole; his favorite niece Brittany Kelley and nephew Aaron Kelley along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
