Kenneth Sparks Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 25, 2024.
Kenneth "Ken" Sparks passed away on Monday, October 21, after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Nancy; his mother, Anna; and his beloved son, Nathaniel. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
Ken attended Indiana State University, where he was a proud member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, met Nancy, his future wife, and formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. A dedicated fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Cubs, he loved cheering on his favorite sport teams. He shared a deep love of rock music with his son and friends, attending countless concerts and entertainment events over the years.
After 43 years with Indiana University Health, Ken retired to Florida, where he continued attending concerts around the state, often with friends from Indiana who had also moved to Florida. He was known for his quick humor, unwavering kindness, and love for tacos. Ken had remarkable talent for trivia, especially in music, geography, and history which he loved to showcase. Ken's presence brightened every gathering and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or to your favorite charity organization in Ken's honor.
