Obituary
Of Monroeville, formerly of Turtle Creek, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Born the son of the late Robert Spirk and the late Arlene (Kuberski) Spirk.
Loving brother of Wendy (Donald "Mark" Sr.) Porter of Monroeville and Robert S. (Jodi) Spirk of Lincoln Place.
Dear uncle of Colleen (Joe) Fink, Donald M. (Brittany Hollup) Porter, Jr., and Kyle (Kirsten Andrews) Porter.
Great uncle of Hailey R. Porter and Donald M. Porter III.
Ken worked for many years as a truck driver for numerous industrial businesses throughout the area, most recently Folino Construction in Oakmont. He was an avid train enthusiast and enjoyed perfecting his crafts of woodworking and welding during his down time. Growing up, Ken was an altar boy for St. Colman Church and a Boy Scout in the Turtle Creek Troop 47. Ken was also well known for celebrating his favorite holiday, Halloween. Each year he would decorate his yard with tombstones, skulls, spiders, and was always sure to get dressed up in a spooky costume and give the neighborhood kids a good scare. He will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
Friends are welcome Tuesday from 2-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory; 1111 Monroeville Ave.; Turtle Creek, PA 15145; (412) 823-9350, where a Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m.
