Kenneth "Ken" James Sprague, 83, of Madisonville, KY, formerly of Long Island, NY passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.

He was born on October 18, 1941, in Bronx, NY, to the late Elizabeth Eichelheimer Sprague and Harold Sprague. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a mechanic for Carrier and later for York, where he retired. He loved history and was a big fan of NASCAR, the INDY 500, and the New York Yankees. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and family. Ken was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Tracy Sprague; and his brothers, Warren Sprague and Butch Sprague.

His survivors include daughters, Tabatha (Steven Conrad) Sprague and Kimberly Sprague, both of Madisonville; brother, Arty Sprague of Upstate New York; grandchildren, Zoe Conrad, Sophia Campbell, Katie (Donald) Milton, Kayla (Gary) Cline, Candice Richardson, Hannah Goble, McKenzie Goble, and Gage Goble; several great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews, Diana, Ricky, and Warren.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville, KY, with military honors conducted by the United States Army. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
