Kenneth Wayne Sylvester

Kenneth Wayne Sylvester, 70, of East Falmouth passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on February 7, 2025 in Boston, after a brief, yet challenging battle with cancer.

He was born in Hyannis, to Frank Sylvester Sr. and Natalie Wellman (Enos). He married his childhood friend and high school sweetheart Wendy M. Botelho. He was a graduate from Lawrence High School in 1973.

Ken recently retired after more than 50 years in the mason business. He was introduced to the trade at a young age, and spent a lifetime perfecting his craft. Ken spoke often of the pride he felt in knowing his work would be here long after he is gone. When he was not working, Ken enjoyed camping, fishing, and ""tinkering"" with classic cars. In his free time, Kenny ""shoes"" enjoyed playing bass guitar and was part of several local bands including ""Chain Lightning"" and ""Déjà vu"". More recently, he found so much happiness in the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, he leaves his son Joshua D. (Joy) of Winter Garden, Florida, his son Aaron W. (Stephanie) of East Falmouth, and his daughter, Heather D. of East Falmouth as well. He also leaves his five grandchildren, which were his pride and joy: Mason, Madison, Brayden, Miley and Chase, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also left behind his brother Frank, sister Natalie Coddington, sister Ann Williams, brother Kevin Wellman, sister Lisa Clement, and brother Frank Jr.

He was preceded by his parents, his brother Anthony and sister Victoria.
