Kenneth Lawaine Thomas

Ken Thomas, age 62, of Live Oak, FL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on May 25, 2025. Ken was born February 22, 1963, to Charles and Sandra Thomas of Mayo, FL and was a graduate of Lafayatte High School. He spent his younger years working on the family dairy farm, so it was only fitting that the rest of his life was spent in the cattle industry. Ken was a legend in the cowboy community and dedicated his life to helping others with their cattle and horses. If he wasn't working, you could find him fishing, hunting, or relaxing at home while taking care of his own animals. If you knew Ken, there is a very high chance you were a victim of one of his pranks, or either witnessed some of his shenanigans. He was the life of the party, and it was impossible not to laugh when he was around. His family, friends, the cattle industry, and the cowboy community will feel his absence for many years to come. Ken was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Willie and Myrtle Thomas, Ward and Leona Carpenter; and his son, Titus Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife, Neesha Thomas, of Live Oak; his parents, Charles and Sandra Thomas, of Mayo; his daughters, Kendra Crews, and husband Dustin, Kelli Thomas, and Kaylin Harmon, and husband Tyler, all of Branford; his four grandchildren, Kenlyn, Kandyn, & Kaibryn Crews, and Stetson Newcomb; one brother, Breck Thomas, and wife Tonya, of Mayo; a sister, Tonya Schoonover, and husband Mark, of St. Augustine, FL; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Services for Ken will be held at 11AM on Saturday May 31, 2025, at the Alton Church of God with Rev. Daryl Fletcher and Rev. Dustin Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Alton Cemetery.
