Kenneth W. Wilder

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kenneth Wayne Wilder, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Kenneth was born on February 22, 1950, in Gardner, and passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023, at Heywood Hospital. As the saying goes, "A man who wears many hats may have a bald head, but he certainly has a brain full of experiences." This perfectly encapsulates Kenneth, a man of many hats who spent his life embodying the spirit of a Jack of all Trades.
A graduate of Narragansett Regional High School in 1969, Kenneth served proudly in the Massachusetts National Guard. He was a handyman, a mechanic, a semipro fisherman, a member of the Otter River Sportsman's Club, and the North Worcester County Quabbin Anglers. In his neighborhood, he was known as the unofficial Mayor of Quabbin. His love for the outdoors was evident in his vegetable garden and fruit trees, which he tended with loving care. But above all, Kenneth cherished his role as a family man. His dedication to his family was unparalleled and his greatest joy was being a father.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Wilder; his daughter, Beckie Morandi and her husband Kris; his son, Thomas Wilder, and his wife Julie; his grandchildren, Sarah Kowalczyk, and her partner Marcel Pellerin, Courtney Gonynor, Christopher Giorlando, and his partner, Savannah Lloyd, and John Giorlando; his great-grandchildren, Layla Songer, Ryder O'Donnell, Kodah Giorlando, and Kaeden Giorlando; and his brother, Eugene Wilder and his wife Virginia; his brother-in-law, Michael Couture; several nieces and nephews; his beloved Mister Boo Boo Kitty; and his two fishing buddies, Bruce Barns and Dave Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wilder; his mother, Marion Wilder; his sister, Carol Couture; and his brother, Dickie Wilder.

Kenneth's wishes were to have a celebration of life instead of a funeral, which will be planned for the spring.
