Kenneth Martin Wilson, affectionately known as Kenny, passed away peacefully in his home on June 6, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on October 11, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, Kenny was raised in a loving home where he cultivated a strong work ethic that would define his career as a construction laborer and painter for many years. His dedication to his work was evident, as he embraced the roles he undertook with great spirit and determination.
A proud graduate of West Carrollton High School, Class of 1978, Kenny's life was marked by his humor and sociability. He had an innate ability to connect with others, making him a cherished friend to many. Known for being kind and generous, he was the type of person who could light up a room with his infectious laughter and engaging conversations. His simple demeanor belied a rich personality that drew people in, fostering countless friendships throughout his life.
Kenny had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and wrestling, often spending time engrossed in the excitement of the events. He found solace in nature, enjoying boating, camping, and the soothing presence of water. His passion for sports was particularly evident in his unwavering support for the University of Kentucky basketball team, a source of pride that he shared with friends and family alike.
Kenny is survived by his brother, John Wilson Jr. and his wife, Pam. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who hold fond memories of the moments shared with him. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, John and Carline Wilson Sr., who instilled in him the values of hard work and kindness.
As we remember Kenny, let us honor the legacy of a man who lived simply yet fully, touching the lives of many with his warmth and good humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Ave.
