Kenney Self Obituary
Funeral service for Kenney Self, age 76, of Pottsville, Arkansas, formerly of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Mr. Self passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the National Park Medical Center of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Kenney Self was born to Floyd R. and Nina Fay (Helton) Self on October 3, 1947, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. After attending high school, he went on to work as a truck driver. He was a proud member of the Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Reed of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Zina Vanwey of Arkansas; sons, Kenney Self of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Chris Self of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Michael Self of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Lucy Rogers, Brandon Teague, William Reed, Patricia Reed, Rowdy Self, Dalton Self, Devin Self, Heather Self, Dustin Self, Tandalyn Patrick, Cory Cummings, Shaila Self and Megan Robinson; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mr. Self was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Nina Self and stepdad, A.C. Hatcher; son, Kenneth Self and two brothers.
