I met Kent on a plane 30 years ago. We wrote letters and I had visited him in NC and at his parents home in Alabama. He kept in touch off and on over the years and has been a presence in my life since that first meeting. After the London bombings in 2005 Kent called me at work to make sure I was ok and an email would pop into my inbox every now and then as he checked in on me. We were an ocean apart so I have only now learned of his passing by chance. I was blessed by his friendship and will miss him terribly.

Kent was my roommate in D3 yearling year. We nicknamed him Young Bauer for some reason I can't remember. He was a great guy and a true friend. I wish I had kept in touch with him through the years.

Kent and I met about 20 years ago and remained friends throughout the years. He had a humor and kindness. I remembered all his volunteering at the church when I lived in Atlanta. He was was a very giving soul and will be missed

Kent was a friend of mine (as was Chuck Atcitty) while at West Point; we were classmates (1979). Kent was a great friend and I distinctly remember how much he loved a woman even while still at West Point (I assume his later wife). Fine man and he has left this life too soon. May God bless and be with his family

He was the best friend a man could have. I was in D-3 and C-3 with him.. and was a room mate He was a hard worker had a no-nonsense and friendly attitude. One story was when he went to the cadet store and selected a case. The cashier told him it was a purse and asked him if he wanted to buy it, and Kent unfazed told her yes.

His Brothers-in-Christ `79, fellow classmates and C-3 company mates are saddened to hear of Kent´s passing, but celebrate his life and recall with joy and honor the times we shared together.
