Kenya R Corbett

Kenya Renir Corbett was born on March 25, 1981, at Mercer Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey. Kenya entered eternal rest on January 22, 2026, peacefully, in the comfort of her home in Hamilton.

Kenya was a beautiful soul and a devoted daughter, caring sister, loving mother, proud grandmother, and treasured friend. Her presence brought light, laughter, and warmth to all who knew her. She was the daughter of Theresa Corbett and the late Johnny Wilkins, and she carried their love with her throughout her life.

Kenya had a vibrant spirit and a heart full of joy. She loved to dance, listen to music, shop, and enjoy good food-simple pleasures that often became shared moments with family and friends. Known for her style, laughter, and ability to make others feel loved, Kenya left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is lovingly remembered and survived by her children, Shaiquan Hearns, Shaquanna Hearns, De'Shawn Byrd, and Day'Shawn Byrd; cherished grandchildren, Zay'Quan Hearns, Ahmai Hearns, and Zamylah Walker; brother, Jonathan Corbett; favorite aunts, Gloria "Candy" and Diane Corbett; and uncles, Derrick Corbett and Shemar Corbett.

Kenya was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Wilkins; grandparents, Eliza Corbett and George Rinell Corbett on her mother's side, and Gloria Ware on her father's side; beloved brother, Andre Corbett; and uncles, Michael Wilkins and Jr Wilkins.

Kenya will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle strength, and the unconditional love she shared with her family and friends. Though her time on earth was far too short, her legacy of love and the memories that she created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
