Kermit Evans Obituary

Kermit was a retired educator. He started his teaching career at the age of 18 at Fifth District School in Butler County. This was the beginning of 50 years of service in the public schools of Butler, Ohio, and Warren Counties where he served in various positions as teacher, librarian, and guidance counselor for students in grades K-12. During these years he received numerous recognitions and awards for his leadership roles in school and community activities. He was a member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church and the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Evans and a sister, Marie Perry.
He is survived by three daughters, Candy Necole Grainger, Page Monique Grainger, and Dominique Lashawn Grainger and two sisters, Zora Taylor and Ruth Penner.
Cremation was chosen with a memorial service to be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Mt. Liberty Baptist Church, 5312 Dexterville-Banock Road, Morgantown, KY 42261. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapels has been entrusted with arrangements.
