Kernell Duncan Lipes, 99 of New Castle, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deal Lipes; parents, Essie and Ida Duncan; brothers, Sherdine Duncan (Frances) and Bryant Duncan (Shirley); and son-in-law, Calvin Johnson.
She is survived by daughters, Daphne McDaniel (Sonny), Cindy Johnson, and Barb Lipes (Heather); grandchildren, Michelle Evans (Joseph), Bryant McDaniel (Stephanie), Heather Morrison (Denny), and Cindy Griesnbrock; great-grandchildren, Dakota Snider (Jared), Brooke Humphrey (Steven), Shane & Troy McDaniel, Charles Tuttle, and Troy Byard; great-great-granddaughter, Sophie Snider; several nieces & nephews; special niece, Sharon Oliver; special cousin, Calvin Duncan.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Legacy Hospice; Olivia, Makayla, and Chaplain Timothy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to New Castle Christian Church or New Castle Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Paitsel Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Frazier officiating. Interment will follow at Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 1-2 PM.
