Kerry A. Schillinger, 56, of Wichita, passed away May 22, 2025. He was born May 21, 1969 in Wichita, the son of James and Marlynn (Erickson) Schillinger. Kerry was a talented drummer and guitarist, loved to fish, enjoyed wood burning, watching his Green Bay Packers (Go Pack), playing Call of Duty with his brother Kevin and playing billiards. Trips to the casino also became a passion as his health declined. He worked at Chance Rides, LLC for 34 years and LOVED his work family. He started there as a parts grinder through a temp agency and advanced to and finished as Electrical Supervisor. Kerry and his family spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors. From gold panning, tubing, fishing and camping, Kerry loved spending time with his family.
Kerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Tressia Schillinger, Everett and Ruth Erickson; and by his best buddy, Butters.
Survivors: Wife of 23 years (31) total, Teri Schillinger; children, Rebecca Standridge (Roger), Angela Tenbrink (Andrew), Christopher Schillinger (Juliana); six grandkids, Gabriel, Arthur, Duncan, Jason, Jamie, Sophia; parents, James and Marlynn Schillinger; brothers, Kevin Schillinger (Dana) and Greg Schillinger; father-in-law, Robert Matney; brother-in-law, Christopher Matney (Christina); and many other loving family and friends.
A Visitation will be 2 pm, Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita, Kansas 67213. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 pm.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
