Margie Lee Harvey (January 5, 1937 - September 4, 2025)
Margie Lee Harvey passed away on September 4 th in Olathe, Kansas with family by her side.
Margie was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on January 5 th , 1937, the youngest child of Mack and Nellie Bailey. Margie grew up around Antlers, Oklahoma and graduated from Antlers High School in 1955. Margie married William Harvey in July 1955.
Margie was a wife and mother who cherished her family, as well as the many children she lovingly cared for through her work as a daycare provider.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength that touched the lives of all who knew her. Throughout her life, Margie was known for her gentle wisdom, her infectious laughter, and her devotion to family and friends. Her home was always filled with warmth, welcome, and the comforting aroma of her home-cooked meals. Margie cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, always offering encouragement, support, and a listening ear. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire acts of compassion and kindness among those she held dear.
Margie is survived by her six children: Michael Harvey, Travis Harvey (Patty), Teresa Bailey (Mark), Patricia Harvey, Lyle Harvey, and Mitchell Harvey; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband William.
Celebration of Life is 2:00 pm Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Smith Family Mortuaries, 501 SE Louis Blvd, Mulvane, KS 67110.
