Kevin “Zeus” Campbell sailed into the sunset for the final time on September 20, 2025 at the age of 78. A true adventurer with a deep and abiding love for the water, he passed away surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer at Unity Hospice in DePere, WI.
Kevin was born on July 20, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA to the late James and Marie Campbell. He grew up in Sherman Oaks, CA and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1965. After high school, he joined the Air Force and then later began his life long career in healthcare starting as an Emergency Medical Technician in Long Beach, CA. Kevin moved to Wisconsin where his love for sailing grew even stronger and joined Wind Jammers sailing Club Kevin retired from healthcare working as a Nursing Assistant with Brown County Community Treatment Center in Green Bay, WI.
Kevin spent his life navigating the currents both on the water and off and taught us all to appreciate his undying love for acoustic music. Kevin was a devoted father, grandpa, and friend who reminded us all to appreciate the beauty and power of the sea along with his love for music.
His memory will be cherished by his beloved children: Ryan (Becca) Green Bay, WI, Kayte (Paul) Kaukauna, WI and Elisa Green Bay, WI; Grandchildren: Keely, Luke, Tyrone, Kyrianah, Asaiah, Azriel, and Alijah. Special friend, Lynn Lamine and her children: Libby, Liza, Laisey, and Edward. Brother Frederick “Chris”, Long Beach, CA and a fleet of friends and family who will miss his unwavering spirit and infectious singing voice.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Vincent Hospital and to Unity Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Kevin’s final days.
Per Kevin’s wishes there will be a Celebration of Life to come share in his love of music at a later date. “Happy Trails to you until we meet again Keep smiling and just sing a song until then”
